Has anyone else fitted 18" Volvo Nebula alloys on to a Phase 1 V70 before? My standard Perfo's were looking scruffy, and having looked on VPCUK.org it seemed that they could be fitted, so a few hours and few hundred pounds later on ebay I had bought a set :)

The alloys came with 235/40/18 tyres which I expected to rub, and general opinion was that changing to 225/35/18 to stop the problem. The fronts are now much better, however when there is any weight in the back or you enter corner quickly and the body rolls then severe rubbing from the inner arch can be heard :-(

I wondered if it was a simple case of adding 5mm spacers to each rear wheel, or would that then move the problem to the outer arch?

Please help, Am I just wasting my time and should stop as they won't fit? I don't honestly fancy explaining to the wife that the new wheels AND new tyres that have been purchased don't fit or that I cannot now put anything in the boot.
