I just got a new C30 about a week and a half ago. It has been parked outside in the GA heat and just last week I noticed little bubbles all over the paint. When we scraped at it with a fingernail, we could actually scratch the finish! Volvo is trying to say it is something that was sprayed on the car after we drove off, but it seems more likely to be a paint quality issue. Help!

So is it the clear coat, or something else? It's not the actual base coats is it? I'm assuming it's not on the wheels/glass/etc?

It does seem to be the clear coat. It actually got a bit better, some bubbles disappeared after a good rain. There is some splatter on a black plastic piece at the top of the hatchback door that made the service guy asssume I had gotten sprayed with something. What would do this? Is this something they should have fixed?

Without seeing it, I can't say. If you can't figure it out, I suggest going to a body shop or two and see what they say. The dealer might just be blowing you off.
