Hi guys, yet another theory of my current problem with my car. As i mentioned in my other post i get some exhaust smell coming into the cabine and from underneith the hood, there is some white some coming out of the engine. i was also thinking that it might be from an exhaust leak from the manifold. when i was getting the car, the owner had mentioned to me that there was an small exhaust leak from the manifold..can this be my mistery smoke??? the smell is stronger(different) at (cold) startup, and once the engine is warmed up, the smell is there but not as strong (i notice it more at startup and when the car is idling). I will try to take off the heat shield of the manifold and see if there is something..ALSO, if there is indeed a leak, will it also effect the color of the spark plugs? (the ones that are there are new and on inspection they still look brand new,no chocolate color, bark black or white on the plug tips)...very odd...

oh ya, the car doesn't seem to be eating up any coolant....

Maybe you need a new manifold seal. Can you get a pressure test done? I don't see why an exhaust leak would effect the color of spark plugs.

Do you smell the exhaust fume from inside the cabin or outside?

Pop your hood and see if there is a real leak at the back. A few things can cause this possibility, aside from just the exhaust manifold.

Please tell us what you see.
