hey guys,
picked up a volvo 2.4i for the wife. Finally a volvo owner...so far so good. Anyways, looking into replacing stock rims to the Atreus 18" and wondering if it would affect steering, ride, rub sides....
Any experienced advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

18"s rub on an S60 so I'm sure they would on an S40 also. Mostly at full lock turns. They would look cool however.

Assuming the offest is the right, keep the overall diameter of the tire the same and you should not have any issues. And since the overall diamter would be the same, the sidewall will be thinner, so you will most likely notice a stiffer ride.

I think I'm gonna stick with the 17's. I saw a cool set at the dealers. As you all know it is almost impossible to find any aftermarkets for volvos

18s don't rub. I have 18x7.5 Medusa w/ 225/40/18. I guess you already bought 17s though.

Did you change the suspension? Im seriously trying to change the stock 16"s on mines but the offset (5x108) on 18"s its kind of hard to find, at least the style that Im looking for... Do you have any pics you can post?
