I have a 1989 240 DL and i was going down the road one day and it just quit running. I towed it home and the next day got in it and it started and idled okay, but when i placed the vehicle in gear and pressed the accelerator it died once again. i went to the junkyard and got a mass air flow sensor and it didn't solve the poblem. Any solutions?

If the crank position sensor or fuel pump relay are more than 10 years old, I would replace them.
