Even with the chipped ECU, hers is still faster than your T5R?
Erg.

Yes it is.

We might keep hers and if I can get my Van sold then I would buy a wagon and we would have 3 Volvo's.

**wakes up from road trip induced haze**

Wait wait- somebody say an R and a 245???

DO IT!

Both car are such a blast in their own right. Plus they compliment each other perfectly.

The Wagon goes camping, to the hardware store, and gets random crap lashed to the roof of it.

Any R is for feeling like you're better than anyone too daft to drive a Volvo.

I've done it.

Our old 240 5 door estate wagon (called 245 elsewhere in the world) does all the mundane work while the T5 estate is used for the odd thrill and letting other road users there are some Volvos around that do have plenty of grunt.

It is a great feeling to sit at a set of lights alongside a vehicle whose owner almost sneers at you and plainly cannot imagine his set of wheels being out-performed by one of those 'bloody slow pieces of crap' Volvo make; only to be left floundering in the wake of the T5 when the lights change, wondering just what-in-the-hell went sooooo #@&*!! wrong.

Volvo owners may or may not know, and may or may not care - they simply love their Volvos but, I've come to the conclusion the vast majority of non-Volvo drivers do not have a clue Volvo make these road burning turbos.

Yeah, i am on that lane too, but ever since the B5234T got busted and needed replacement, plans have to be set aside for now.

What's priceless? The look on the driver of that BMW next to you at the traffic lights, when he sees you in your T5 leaving a trail of smoke behind. And try as he might, he just couldn't catch up....

Tech - I havent sold it yet.

I actually wanted to get some of the things wrong with it fixed.  My brother has a friend who is a mechanic and works on only forieng cars - BMW's ercedes, etc.

I am in no rush to sell.

Any updates?

Steer clear of any forieng ercedes!!

it is priceless when you can take out a beemer, but the real priceless moment is when you are at a light and a whatever pulls up next to you (pick your own car-my time was with an m series z3 beemer) and when the light goes green, you are ahead of them, and they slowly pull alongside and then pass you just by a little bit, i mean maybe he has passed you up to his mirror. so when you finally pull alongside them, they act all hot sh&t until you point out to them that you are driving a volvo and their beemer cost them 10 times more and that it's new and an M and they had all the bmw stuff thrown on and you are driving an 11 year old R that needs a paint job, besides a good detailing. that is priceless. especially when they have some hot little blonde in there. and you tell her if she wants a real man, she had best get into the volvo with the greek. and then the wife gets out of the car and wants to beat the crap out of you because she is twenty mintues late for work and she doesn't appreciate doing 130 on the BQE. and then she sees the blonde. now THAT is priceless. especially when the police don't have to be called. or the paramedics.

And you guys gave me hell for driving fast on a country road... Heres a pic of the car with black trim for anyone interested. Also, my BMW is like a god damn rocket compared to the 850.

The BMW rocks my ex long haired friend. I would honestly rather drive it unless the 850 had a 5 speed.
