so i had a bit of los of power and rough idling followed by complete refusal to start. check iacv and found lose hose. i ran the car with parts missing and the check light came up...presumably for vacuum leak.
any way, car is fine now but check engine light remained on for about a week after.
it has gone out now.

does the ecu recheck its self every so often, and turned off the light when it figured id fixed it.

id read everywhere u need the obd reader to reset it. some one said disconnect the battery, but that diddnt work.

just wondering wt is going on lol

probably. the code is still in there, you do need to erase it, but it senses that everything is okay. better go and pull all the codes and see what else pops up.

The lambda does its onw calculation every few cycles. During the cyclces, it 'checks' to see if the issue is still present. If not, then it 'checks' again, and after a few 'nots', then it switches off. But the message will still be there for you tor ead, just the light is off.

BUT that does NOT apply to everything that the lambda checks.

Would the FPR be a culprit of still acting up after replacement? Remember my troubles with mine... i replaced it but it didn't quit till the mech cleared the codes.
