My 92 245 will not engage into fourth gear. The OD light comes on and off whenever i depress the OD button, but most of the time the OD will stay stuck (no light on). It just wont shift into fourth?
Does the solenoid go bad/stuck activated?

relay seems to work, that leaves wiring and solenoid. If you DON'T want to lock out the 4th gear (no towing or big loads), a bypass plate is available under $50, but a new solenoid from V or Toyota is >>$300-. here. used: Difficult-as it makes box worth less to on-sell. Also, poor tranny maintenance causes blockages from filter failure etc, so check tranny oil level and quality. rub it between you fingers and feel for grit/rubbish. 4th avail. from ~45-50mph with light off-light throttle.. use search option on this site for more info.
