Hello,

I have a beautiful S60 that has truly been the best car I have owned. There is one problem, though and it is one that I caused by being foolhardy One cold, winter morning here in Colorado (and Colorado has some very cold, winter mornings!), I got into the car to drive to work. I had let it warm a bit and decided to open the sunroof. It clicked several times because it was frozen shut. I persisted like an **** , then gave up and left it closed. When I did get it opened later that afternoon, it seemed fine until I closed it. I pushed the button to close in one motion and it slid shut, then the back popped up. I now have to close it with slight taps to align it to the roof line. Is there someone out there who can tell me how to fix the problem, short of taking it to my mechanic and having the entire sunroof replaced? I would be eternally grateful for any suggestions. Thanks and have a great day!

It's hard for me to tell what exactly is mechanically wrong without pictures.

My advice would be to take it to your mechanic and pay the diagnostic fee. For something as simple as that chances are it's probably going to be quick and easy for him to figure out. Then get a quote on how much it will cost for him to fix it - if it's out of your price range drill him to try to get as much information as you can so you can cut out the middle man and fix it yourself. All you have to do then is go to Volvo and order the parts.

Be careful though, many mechanics can figure out what you're trying to do and won't give you information, so try to make it seem like you're interested in what's wrong rather than doing it yourself.

Unless somebody else has a better idea....
