Hope you folks can lend me a hand with this one.

I purchased my 2001 S40T1.9 last year and have experienced intermittent stalling issues ever since.

At first the Volvo dealership diagnosed/replaced a faulty key ring / immobilizer harness because the DTCs reported misfires and the dash displayed the immobilizer icon. However the issue presented itself the very next morning then went away for months at a time. Ironically our winter weather is extreme yet we never had any issues during that time.

As best I can tell most occurances have followed wet or humid weather with ambient termperatures between 10 - 30 oC. For this reason I have suspected an electrical short of some kind. However no DTCs have appeared until today.

For three days now we have had warm humid weather with some persistent rain. This morning the car failed to start for the third time in five days. Two DTCs were in the computer. Both were P0102 (Mass Volume Airflow Circuit - Low input). Could the MAP sensor be shorting/faulty? Should I be looking for a cracked hose? Plugged air filter? Dirty/plugged throttle body?

The closest dealership is 3 hrs away. If the solution is simple I would like to save the headache.
