we have a volvo s60 2003 d5 with 100,000 miles on full volvo dealer history and its leaking oil from the rocker gasket. the gasket has been replaced 3 or 4 times with chemical gasket and genuine gasket and its still leaking around the cam belt side through the gasket.

Also when you have the car on idle and remove the oil filler cap the engine is very noisy and a popping noise can be heard. This is not normal as we have tried it with other d5 engines? any ideas?

Hi, regarding your noise, I wouldnt worry unless it sounded abnormal, the oil leak maybe caused by a blockage in the engine breather, perhaps you could try running your engine with oil cap off and place something over the filler hole to see if any pressure builds up. Additionally has someone checked the the cover is perfectly flat?
