Ok - So I am having problems with my T5R...to say the least. I am trying to figure out if these problems are going to be VERY expensive (more than 2500, as I have already put alot of $$ into her in the last 4 years)...

Here are the codes and issues - I know its alot, but I have no idea what they mean!

154 - EGR Leakage
232 - Idiling (there is something written before this but I cant read the handwriting)
543 - Miss at least one
452 - Miss #2
451 - Miss #1
542 - Miss more than one
453, $54, 455 (noticing a trend here - miss #3,4,5)
315 - Evap System

A/C doesn't work (had it charged and was cold for one day)
Left Front CV Joint/Axle clicking like crazy
Need new drivers seatbelt

The mechanic said all the miss codes could simply be spark plug related. I dunno, I really dont want to get another car....what do you experienced people think?

If you're in Florida, and you're near Disneyland, you may want to get hold of Tech. He's around there. Sorry, dont have his actual place of work. He's the Master TSefu KungFuPanda around here. :460: :460: :460: Try PM him for an address.

On to your issues, how long ago did you have your periodic maintenance checked? I know this may seem like a lot of $$$ but some of your troubles are related to that. The sparkplugs as your mechanic indicated is a possibility, need to take them up and make observations of the colour, residue, gap etc. Not just that, need to also check your distributor cap, cables, ignition coil, etc.

But taking this positively, the EGR leakage MIGHT be just a leaking hose.
The seatbelts you can go for used ones.
The axle clicking, ehem... might...*cough*cough* work with some re-greasing, otherwise, err... replacement.
If you have problems with idling, usually its a matter of cleaning mostly: clean the Idle Air Control Valve and the TB. Sometimes, its the throttle cable getting stuck, causing a steady high idle. I've found that dropping 5 or so droplets of lubricant into the throttle cable chute last be a temporary fix.
Air cond needs to be properly looked into.

I do have a high idle.....I have to get my book out of the car (and its late here) to check when the last big maintenance was done....

The things you have mentioned sound rather simple for the most part...I just am afraid I am going to get ripped off and charged way too much for something simple like a hose....

I know a few mechanics - but not VOLVO - that would do it for me if the things you have mentioned are understandable to someone who isnt familiar with Volvos...Since I know nothing about cars - is this stuff pretty standard if explained to a regular mechanic?

I think they are, quite understandable. But he has to check the specs required for your car, like what is the receomment gap, etc...
