This is just a possibility.

If you had such a broken hose and have had oil spitting out of the dip stick tube, then your smoke situations may be expected.

Possibly you simply have some oil build up from the broken hose and such underneath the plastic engine cover which is causing the smoke you notice at idle when the engine is warm. Oil burns off slowly so it will burn that oil for awhile before it finally gose away.

Possibly similar with the turbo hooked up properly. Residual oil could have gotten in where it should be and the engine is just slowly burning it off until all the excess that shouldnt have been where it is has gone away.

Your problems could also indicate other problems, but initially I would inspect for any oil build up that is simply burning off.

It takes a large Torx bit to remove the plastic engine cover. However it is not uncommon for those torx bolt to have been put in with the force of god...haha. Heard of many reports where people could not get them to break loose, and in many cases stripped the bolts or broke the cover. I had some oil build up on my engine in this location when i bought the car (although my cover was originally missing, except for some remaining plastic from where the previous owner obvious gave up on the bolts and just broke the cover off). Anyways, mine smoked slightly because of this and took quite awhile for it all to go away.

Did you change all the 3 main rubber hoses for the PCV tank?
The one from intake manifold to the IAT at the fresh air hose.
The one from the PCV tank to the fresh air hose.
The one form the PCV tank to the top of the engine block.

Look at the connections, there must be a leakage some where. To have an idea, look into the top posts in this section regarding this.
