please could someone kindly help.
the front wheels around the area of the nuts on both sides appear to be very hot when driving for about 5 miles is this normal or are the brakes binding

some residual heat from breaking is to be expected, depenmds on what you call hot, If its so hot that it gives you a bad burn and blisters when you touch the disc, then the brakes are binding, if its just hot, thats fine.

same problem with mine, it was the cylinder for the brakes. replaced them, and brake fluid, now all ok.

the problem was that rings on the cylinders were bad, so the brake pads did not release completely, so the wheel was hot.

I'm having similar problems with my 92 440. The brakes actually feel like they're binding too after a few miles the front wheels are really hot and the pedal goes spongy. I sought some advice and it appears that the brake master cylinder could be faulty (both wheels are binding). I'm gonna see if I can get a seal repair kit and have a go myself. Hope this helps :thumbsup:
