P0443 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Malfunction
P0234 Engine Overboost Condition

Is the ABS light on often, or just that time?

Not 100% sure on the code numbers. let u know later. When veh was at a volvo dealer this afternoon all 3 lights were on. ABS, Tracs off and eng light were on. Plus it would not come out of park. Aft switch was replaced, there no lights on at all. But aft rad was replaced and running 4 about 5 min approx. abs and tracs lights came on. Veh was able to b moved from park. Hope that helps.

Replacement of the Shift-Park Microswitch would have handled the shifting out of park issues. If you still have problems on that, send it back to get it properly fixed again.

As for the ABS and TRACS, you need to monitor it for now. If the ABS and TRACS lights continue to light up, continuously, then its something else. For now, the sensors behind the brake discs are prolly dirty, have them cleaned. All four of them. You'll need to take the wheels off to do this. because of the sensors's location, lifting the car up, may not help very much.

Then start monitoring the ABS and TRACS lights again...

After a day and a 1/2. The ABS and Tracs Off lights came on again. No eng light though. And no out of "PARK" problems either. Abs and tracs off lights stay on for maybe 1 or 2 miles. After that no lights at all! Is it time for an ABS control unit. Does the abs unit keep a history of dtc's that were set?

TurboMommy and XPiece,

Yes, i was referring to the speed sensors. Dirt and brake dusts are known to find their way into there, and coupled with water and all, they get 'settled' in.

Remove the tyre, and then look at the back of the brake disc. There should be a cable that ends on the top part of the assembly. Remove this and clean the tip. Also clean the well that it goes into as well.

Cleaning the sensors can help, if that's where the problem is.

And yes, unless the DTCs were deleted, you can still read the history.
