I think I have stumbled across some of these answers before or people mentioned them to me in other topics, but being short on time I don't have much time at one sitting to do any useful searching.

1. In a Volvo with the TRACS system, is this controlled from within the ABS module or is the TRACS system controlled by its own TRACS module? I believe both have electrical problems and was wondering if replacing the ABS module might correct both.

2. I have never figured out what is wrong with my Cruise Control. I think someone mentioned before that a bad ABS module can cause the cruise control to quit working. Is this correct?

3. When replacing the evaporator, is there anything special or important to take note of or to do during the replacement or is it pretty straight forward by just removing and replacing the old one? Also, what is the canister on the A/C system for that is located on the lower passenger side of the radiator? (I think it is some kind of filter or something), how often should that be replaced or is it designed to never really be replaced.

Thanks.

I have never seen a separate TRACS module before. And i believe that the TRACS system is also built-in into the ABS module. This is why the ABS module with TRACS are slightly different with those without TRACS.

Could be. Dont know for sure.
But i do know that the most common problem for the cruise control originates from leaking vacuum hoses. You can find the cruise control module attached to underneath your battery's platform.

I;ve replaced all parts of the cruise system except for the switch at the brake pedal. I do know my ABS module is bad, so was wondering if that might be it.

When I turn cruise on nothing happens, and the cruie pump never even attempts to come on, even though it has been replaced.

I think I have replaced all but the pedal switch: I;ve replaced the following:

- Cruise Pump
- Cruise Module
- Cruise Relay
- Cruise Stalk (also the turn signal stalk)
- Cruise fuse has been checked but not replaced, it tests fine.

Cant find anything noticably wrong with the switch, but maybe it is broke, I;m not sure.
