Have new S80 with approx 3500 miles always garaged when not in use. Have noticed drivers seat leather is cracking and chipping on seat bolster and back bolster outer side. This is very disapointing to me to have this happen so soon in a new car. I just sold my 2000 Lexus and the leather didnt look this bad and the car had 125,000 miles on it. Has anyone else noticed this premature cracking in the leather? I havent been back to the dealer yet but would like some feedback from other owners who have had this issue. Thanks

I have about 5,000 miles on my T6 and don't have the problem you describe. The cracking may have more to do with how frequently you get in and out of the car, if it's on the left of the drivers seat.

When I got the car 6 months ago I cleaned and conditioned the seats with Lexol, and continue to do so from time to time. That may help.

Why not take the car to the dealer and complain ... see what they do for you?

I have 1 2008 xc70... when i got it there was cracking on the drivers seat... the dealer said the 6 day old car showed excessive wear from use... *&@#&!&#&! ... now the drivers seat shows accelerated wear like there is not enough color in the leather
