My '93 940 wagon has 293,000 miles on it. The automatic trans has started to shift late. It sees that the warmer the car gets, the slower it shifts. Sometimes after 30 minutes of driving it won't shift into high gear until 70 mph. The trans fluid level is okay. Does anybody know what's causing my problem?

could be that the fluid is dead ... it should be a nice pink colour when put on white cloth. if its brown then its burnt and it needs changing/flushing.
