Now that my new exhaust is on my 850 im moving on to fixing up/upgrading the suspension. I already purchased heavy duty front endlinks and new front control arms (one of mine is shot)...so far im thinking Bilstein HD Shocks/Struts + lowering springs...the cheapest ive seen Bilstein HD's for is around $400.

Is there a different brand that is recommended for around the same price or cheaper? Or would Bilstein be the way to go? I really dont want to spend too much more than about $450 if possible...

Thanks for your input!

I recently read a post, not sure if it was on this board or not, but the person did not recommend the HD...too stiff and unforgiving. Just my .02, but you may want to investigate further.

you should take a stroll down some of the streets in bensonhurst. and i wonder why there are some many effin dentist near here, it's cause your fillings pop out by the time you hit the next light, which is like this close to the last one. anyway, i paid just under a thou for my koni's. of course the minute i install them, i see them for 200 bucks cheaper. and the shipping was less. DOOOOOOOOHHH!!!! do some searching if you intend to order them online. and mine are the adjustable ones, the non-adjustables are seriously cheaper. good luck.

i found a GREAT deal on some slightly used Bilstein Touring shocks/struts + Eibach springs...i know the Touring arent as stiff as the Heavy Duty, but are they still good?

If anybody has any experience with the Bilstein Touring Class shock/strut please let me know...
