Hi i'm new to the forum and looking for help with my S40 1.6i, it's my first car and has been quite well used before me, so needs some tlc.

First up, the back drivers side side marker light is dead (actually seems to be taking in water, guessing its cracked at the top)
How do you get the the rear side maker lights to remove replace rebulb anything, i've seen lots of posts about how to do it none of the suggestions seem to work. i'm loathed to take the wheel and skirting off but i think its the only way. Any ideas

Second question, in my handbook there's a lot mentioned about the information center option the car had on release (i don't have it) however it looks really cool and would be a great thing for me to have. I wondered if i could get hold of the panel and dial from a scrap yard is the wiring already there and loose in the dash or is it next near impossible to add.

Thirdly and finally, i seem to have lost some of my dash lights, it almost appears as if a whole side has stopped lighting up, this sounds to me like a fuse problem insted of a bulb issue, anybody know where the fuse for the dash lights sits or had any similar problems with their dash?

Thanks in advange, you're a grade a ledgend if you can help me out!!

when you say the rear marker lights, you mean the rear lights, correct? if so, the panel is inside the trunk. the screws should be there also. just because the wiring is there, doesn't mean it is easy. i am not sure for europe and the UK, but here, i think you need to have the system turned on from the dealer. your fuses are under the hood, back by the firewall (windshield) under a lid that says fuses (maybe) it might also be blown bulbs. good luck, keep us posted as to your progress.

No i meant the orange trim lights which look like reflectors, they don't seem to be accessible from anywhere easily. Thanks for your post though. Think i'm gonna try a spare fuse brfore taking the dash apart to change dash bulbs. thanks
