Well this one has got me stumped...

I have a 1995 850 GLT Sedan. When I drive over bumps or potholes at slower speeds(mostly very minor ones) I hear a jingling noise in my tires. It seems to be coming from the rear tire/wheel area. I recently replaced my rotors, so we did take the wheels off and look for anything that could be causing the noise, but to no avail!!! The only thing that I can think of would be the metal rings on the inside of the hub caps that keep the tension on the plastic clips to keep the caps in place. The noise really is making me curious, and I hope that it's not anything mechanical that could be a problem. But it does drive me crazy! Almost sounds like jingle bells in my wheels, haha!

Has anybody else ever had this problem?

Happens form all sorts of things. Could be

Dust braket on the brake

Brake caliper

Transverse arm mount or mounts

Center cap of rim

Bearing

Well I don't know...but it seems to be on both sides, so that's a bit weird to me. Usually if something was loose, you'd only expect it to be on one side, unless it's something that commonly happens.

Did you properly fasten the bolts on the tires before you fit the plastic caps on?
