I bought my first Volvo last week - a 2002 D5 S60 SE with R alloys. It's a lovely car and very comfortable, just needs a service and some new tyres on the front.

My only gripes so far are the vibrating clutch, which from what i can see is a common fault - any ideas how much it will cost to get fixed?

My other gripe is the gear knob - the stitching is grating my hand. Has anyone else replaced theirs? I'm struglling to find one that won't look out of place because the interior is all dark grey, so a black one would look silly.

I'm also looking for an ipod solution. I've seen the iMiv, but by the time it all gets installed, this looks like it could be a bit pricey at around £250-300.

Any thoughts appreciated.

I've changed my gear knob but required cutting the old one away as it was molded onto stick, new one must be suitable for 'lift reverse' feature , but they are listed as such on the replacement knobs.
