I recently purchased a 1995 850 wagon(non-turbo). After I drive about 8 miles and the transmission warms up the shifting problem starts. When slowing down to a complete stop after driving full speed, the transmission downshifts a little hard just before I come to a complete stop. Then when I hit the gas to take off, there is about a 3 second hesitation before it goes into gear, then it shifts into gear and jerks the car before it takes off. This happens every time I come to a stop and take off. It does this every time I drive it and only after the trans warms up. I am going to try to add some Lucas tranmission fix to see if that clears it up unless anyone has any other suggestions. Should I drain some of the fluid so I don't overfill it, Or should I flush the whole system? Also, how do I reset the service light, there was no owners manual with the car.

You're experiencing what is called a slippage.
Can i suggest that you drain the oil of just the 3 or 4 litres out via the drain-hole, and then fill it up again?
