Kim,

Were you able to remove the original one?
You may have to resort to unorthodox ways to remove the damaged one first. Refer Greek's testimony on this.

The powerflex one comes in 2 halves, right?

I have already removed the old one guys.
With a hydralic tool.
The new one(2 pieces)is difficult to fit.The one piece got very easy, the second one,it doesn't.Not even if I press it hard.It seems like it doesn't fit.But they are the same of them.Something strange is happening.

Then it's the wrong size. However, my mount was very hard to get in. I made it fit though.

Yea thats basically it, it could take 10 minutes if everyting goes right. It depends on what condition your current mount is in though, mine was so old I had to spend 20 minutes sawing it out. And then at least another 15 minutes forcing in the new mount. But all in all its a pretty easy job.

Well, it DOES need some torqueing to fit the mount in, or else, you can feel the shake from inside the car...

I have the IPD on standby, just incase my ori one goes out, but eversince i fitted this one at a slant angle, i think the top mount does last a little longer. By the slant angle: Volvo manual says that when fitting the top mount, the inner spokes have to be vertically set, one pointing top and the other pointing down. After a little chat with my Volvo parts clerk, he suggested that i fir the original one at an angle, say, 45%, meaning the top spoke points to north-east, and the bottom-spoke to point to south-west.

If you want to stick to the VOlvo original mounting, you may want to try that.
