Hello all, I have a 2004 V40 which has a non-functioning drivers window and is stuck down. I have the door torn open trying to figure out how to release the window to get it up manually but no luck. Originally this was the only window that didn't work, I would get a slight noise from the motor when I hit the up/down button. The other three worked until I tried to jump the switch and blew the fuse for the rest of the windows. All fuses under hood and drivers footwell are good. Any other locations for fuses or did I blow something else?

I am having the same exact issue with my driver's side window. After speaking with the dealer, they said it sounds like the regulator has gone bad....that part is 350 BUCKS!!!! for JUST the regulator, whereas, the motor is only 150. Crazy...I asked if this was common on the V40 and he said it wasn't...how likely. Good news is, the window can be put up until an alternate part can be found, ie: junk yards, and replaced, but it still means a trip to the dealership...even better! If anybody else has had this issue, please help! I'm driving around with a window stuck half way down until I can get an appt with the dealer as there's only ONE in my area... :liebe011:
