92 Volvo 240 Wagon with a M47 Trans here.

Well, as you could assume from the title, my transmission has taken to vibrating. The other day i tried to re-attace the wiring to the reverse switch on the transmission (the wiring had corroded and no longer worked). I attempted to follow the instructions in how to do it in the Haynes manuel, but they're horrible. I jacked up the car, supported the transmission, disconn'd the muffler supports, and removed the trans crossmember bolts. Then i went to lower the transmission, and id didn't go down more than 2". This is where the Haynes instructions said i should be able to unscrew the rev light switch, but there was still not enough room to access it. I decided to just relocate the switch elsewhere, and reversed the installation instructions. I had a bugger of a time re-installing the trans crossmember, and could not get one of the bolt collars back in place.

Well, after getting my car back on the ground,i went for a drive. For about the first 15 mins, i can feel an extra vibration in the car when the transmisson is engaged, and not just while the engine is at a high RPM. (i hope that makes sense)

Any help?

Trans mount bushes need replacing perhaps cause they have been disturbed ?
