I have a service engine light on a 2000 S40 . It 's OBD11 Code is P0128
Is this the engine coolant temperature sensor or other?

I got a P0128 code two weeks ago. I've been driving with it since my scan gauge and the dash gauge indicate a normal temperature. I tried resetting the CEL with no luck so I figured that the P0128 code was still valid. Seems that resetting the CEL is harder on this car than most. After screwing with this several times I got it to reset. Not sure how I did it but something to do with not having the engine running. BTW I got a ScanGaugeII a couple of months ago and love it. It does almost everything I want including Boost (by reading MAP). Back to the P0128 code: seems to be an intermittent condition on mine. Just had a P0130 code yesterday and reset that, has not come up again. Good thing I dont like dealers, I'd be broke.
