I am having problems with my 940 wagon stalling. The RPM's go to zero & sometimes it will shoot back up & continue running but other times it will die once I slow or stop. I had the throttle body cleaned but it did not help.
After searching the internet I think that it could be the fuel pump relay... but that is a problem. I can't find it. Everyone says that it is supposed to be in the second row & farthest to the left as seen here:

But it is not. There is a place for it. A place cut out in the plastic where a 3523608 fits, but there isn't one there. I got a relay from the junk yard & it fits perfectly in the slot but there aren't even any connectors there to plug it into.
The 3523608 can be seen on this page:

My fuse box can be seen here:

It is clearly not there.
The Hella 12V/ 4RD/ 003-520-52 relay marked on my picture, according to one website, may be my fuel pump relay, but I replaced it & it didn't help.
I found this:
QUOTE
Fuel Injection Relay Applications.

FI relays can differ by model. According to the Pocket Date Book from Volvo, all F/T engines (both Bosch and Regina systems) through 1993 use the -608 white relay regardless of turbo/non-turbo. For 1994 and after, B2XXF NA-engines use the -270 relay and T turbos use the -608 relay. All E engines use the -639 relay. However, some 760 Turbos use the green 1362914 relay. Per John Marshall in New Zealand, some of the later 9 series (1994 onwards) have a different layout of relays and use a blue Hella fuel pump relay, mounted second from the right in the front row. The one to the right of it is the same Hella relay, used for high beam lighting. The Hella relays on have 5 pins in the base and are marked as follows: Hella 12V/ 4RD/ 003-520-52. Even a diligent search of Volvo Technical publications (e.g., the wiring diagram, that for other electrical equipment, etc.) will not show this change in the color, size, and location of this relay (versus the white, rectangular, second-row position, for earlier 940s). Note that relays are not interchangeable.

But it was no help.
Any ideas?
Thanks

UPDATE:
I couldn't locate the fuel pump relay or if I did that wasn't the problem. I decided to go to the next step & replace the ignition module. I made a run to Pull-A-Part & got 2 for $5 each. I replaced it & VOILA! I'm so proud.
