I just purchased a 93 850 non-turbo the other day. It had been sitting for a few months, pretty much all through last winter. After the first day the rear main seal went and i need it replaced and I am currently running with my oil half way filled. When i drive it makes a medium to high pitched sound. It is almot like a Humming sound. Its sounds like something may be rubbung up against something moving or something is moving loosely. I thought it may have been something to do with the tranny but the pitch gets higher as speed increaces and doesnt change when the tranny switches into a higher gear at a lower rpm.

If I dont get any suggestions i understand. There is only so much you can say without actually hearing the sound. Just hoping someone experienced a similar issue and could share what they did to fix it.
