Recently the timming belt went ( damaged 1or 2 valves ) on my 460 ES 2.0 i and took it to garage to rebuild the engine and ever since the idle speed is reving around 1800rpm.

the garage says that they have replaced the idle valve , all the sensors and still can not fix the problem however if you take one of the senors out ( disconnected the air temp sensor wire ) then it comes down to 900rpm ( normal) but this leaves me with the problem of temp. gauge going to just below the red and immision light comes on and will not pass the MOT and does not start ( first thing in the morning ) as well as it use to do.

Can you please help ? I have already spent £1000.00
