Hi everybody!

So a couple of weeks ago, for a paltry sum, my wife and I purchased my/"our" dream car - a 1988 740 Turbo Intercooler stationwagon. For all its wear and tear, it is still an incredible and timeless car.

We've already had a number of things done on it - seals, belts, brakes, control arm bushings, etc., the headliner is next on our list.

I used the power locks for the first time the other day and now I can't get the trunk open. Our key does not seem to work in the trunk lock, but when I squeeze the handle, it goes all the way back like it would if it was unlocked, but nothing happens. We can still open it from inside.

Do I just need to procure a separate trunk key? Wouldn't the power locks unlock it, just as they locked it? Or is there a little wire in there that may be broken? Any advice or help is much appreciated, thanks!
