stage 0 is like a full tune up
stage 1 is upgraded items, plugs wires, filters, etc.
stage 2 is exhaust brakes induction(if different from a filter, usually a cone-type) suspension
stage 3 injectors power adders (ex. turbos/superchargers) ecu/ecm tranny full exhaust(headers, etc.)
that is what i know then as, if anybody else has heard different, i would also like to know. hope this helps. of course, there is a stage 4, that is the dreaded greekmason disease whereby you throw a huge amount of money at some professionals who thereon proceed to used this money in making your car into a monster that is somewhat street legal but brings immense joy to you as you annoy the bejesus out of everybody else. ahhhhhhhhhh, the joys of working 900 hours a week to be able to afford the latest super xyz 123 power addition for your car. oh well, hey, the new york state lottery is 196 million dollars. you know who just bought 100 bucks worth of tickets. see you all in bermuda  i'm buying

Haha... Until your credit card companIES (not just 1, in some cases) calls you up and informs you that your've overspent your limit. And your immediate reply was a snarl-back "I KNOW!!! Just extend my credit" (like you actually own the bank or a relative to the owner etc .. or that was what happened to someone long ago. HEE HEE.

And when the car finally comes out, the joy was as Greek described. But it was extremely short-lived. Not a week later, it was sold for half the investments put in, to cover the debts. HAA HAA...

Hahahahaha...

Seems like the power bug is tere to stay

Once bitten, you'll never go back. No recoveries eh?

Am going through the same phase now. Joy oh joy oh joy!

Since I know my gearbox is going to a gearbox retirement home soon, I've been running 0-100km/h drags yesterday. The best I recorded was about 7.2 secs, it ranges to 7.8 secs in the 5 runs. Peak boost was at 1.14 bar. The wheel spin? Like music to my ears!

:57:

YYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. BURN'EM BIG DADDY. damn, i always wanted to say that. the best part is not the fact that the value of the vehicle is half of what you spent, but the fact that the minute it is done, two hundred other people can do it for 1/4 of what you spent to do it in the first place. oh well, that's why i am always smoking the tires in front of the old lady next door, her daihatsu twin turbo phantom is running 25 psi out of her two turbos. damn her. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. hey big daddy, red line red line red line. wooooohoooooo.
