Trying to fix a separate brake light issue, when I turn the key on, without starting car, there is a buzzing noise under the hood. It is coming from this.

I can't find my repair manual anywhere. Is this supposed to buzz when key is turned on? Don't remember hearing it before. Have a couple trips planned the next two weekends, I was planning to take my Volvo.

I think I figured it out. Idle Control Valve, right? Does want to stall some, idle drops pretty low. Doesn't look like they're cheap!

Any advice?

yeah most likely the air idle control valve. no they arent cheap heh heh try n find one on flebay but you run the risk of it being dud unfortunately. the best way is to buy one new. i think mine is on its way out as it tends to drop and stall sometimes at lights n that so i just adjusted the throttle linkage to run a bit higher, but then that is making it run rich ... not ideal but it works temporarily.
