Hi all,

I've been looking at installing tweeters in the rear doors of my S40 R-Design and am having trouble finding exact sizes that would fit. I've read some other posts on forums and they have purchased aftermarket tweeters but have had to cut them down to size.

Does anyone know of the sizes for aftermarket or part number for the Volvo tweeters?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know if this is going to help you or not but I wanted to replace the speaker in the back and I opened the door cover, the speaker is 6.5” and as far as tweeter if you want to fit it into the black holder(factory holder) the dimensions are diameter ~1.5” and for depth I think you can have abut 1in or so … but I think and, if I remember, you can forget about the holder and just put the tweeter inside. If you open the door you will know what I am talking about… I attached a PDF file… good luck and let us know how you did it…I was looking at Alpine sps 600C for my car but I’m not sure about the tweeters.

Hi,
Any idea of the cable colours to the rear speaker? I'm wiring a sub and trying to identify (inside the car) which are the correct colours.

I think its purple/white and blue/white but not sure.

I've removed the inside trim between the doors and narrowed it down to 6 cables.

Anybody help?
