Hi All

I have 1986 240 Dl. While I'am filling up at the gas station I have noticed gas leaking out from under the car near the left(passenger)tire after it's been filling for about a minute. Any suggestions on what might be going on. Thanks :beer:

Wagon or Sedan? If it's a wagon, open the rear side panel on the inside and check that all the tubing is connected correctly. The sedan is similar, but I haven't had to do this on our sedan yet.
There is an overflow drain pipe that goes down through a hole in the bottom of the body - it may be coming from that.

The passenger side is the right side. If the leak is in the area of the fill tube, there is a clamp that holds the fill tube to the fuel tank. That clamp may have corroded and loosened.
