Hi. I have a '99 V70 T5. My problem is with the Air con temperature. The only way to get cold air is to blip the throttle, (to about 4000 rpm). After this the air blows nice and cold. Then after a while it loses it's effect. I'm told the gas level is good. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Possible magnetic clutch in the compressor needs attending to.

As far as I know there's no way to 'attend to' the clutch on an a/c unit unless you (get someone else to) dismantle half the wagon's front end and replace the whole caboodle @ around £700 (or whatever expensive...) , so if there's another way I'd be eager to find out about it.

I have a '98 V70 with air-con that only functions for 5 mins or so, or not at all on a roasting day (and I don't mean Sunday).
