Hi.
I'm in Los Gatos, California, and just bought my 10th Volvo.
Here's the history.
1963 1800S carb black (second most reliable car ever. Except floors
were rusted through)
1965 1800S carb green parts car
1970 1800E injected mustard IPD sways California rust-free car.
1971 1800E injected mustard parts car
1973 1800ES injected red wagon IPD sways
1991 740 NA white wagon IPD sways (most reliable car I'll ever own.
put 100,000 miles on it and only changed fluids and filters.
Astonishing car)
1996 850 GLT NA maroon sedan IPD sways
1995 850 Turbo parts car (sold to guys who will race it in 24 HOURS OF LEMONS race.)
2001 V70XC ash gold (wife's current soccermobile)
1997 855R black/black wagon IPD sways, endlinks, Bilstein HDs, OEM tow hitch
The 855R is my dream car. 80,000 california miles. Gotta sort out oil leaks and a couple of squeaks. What I really want is an ECU/catback and a 5-speed conversion. But this is California, and I've gotta worry about smog check.
