check engine light came on the other day, i drove the car about 20 miles light went off, drove another ten or so miles, light is back on.

um, how about checking it out. get the codes read and see what pops up. firstly, try opening and closing the gas cap. tightly. then read the codes.

Even if the light goes off the code is still there until you erase it with a scan tool
