Arg, X-Piece, you JUST had to ask, didnt you?
:)

OK,OK, in ALL honesty, i have to have the T5 put for a MAJOR,MAJOR SURGERY last weekend. It was 'admitted' the weekend before, but the place is only operated on weekends, when the tsefus and gurus all converge from their weekday jobs to 'play'... My T5 needed a new engine.

Thanks to a farking blardy stuck-closed thermostat! A 90degree original Volvo thermostat with Wahlberg (or WAHLER or whatever!) imprinted on it. It was only 8 months old!
(I make it a habit to change my thermostat EVERY YEAR, because i believe that my country is really HOT...) but that didnt stop the dang thing from defunctioning, and render my engine useless, burnt etcetcetc...

Hmmm...

Maybe i should SUE someone...

Because of the overheating, the engine block swelled and damaged the piston. Not to mention all the leaks and all. Even the waterpump leaked, possibly but not confirmed, due to the overheating. The oil-cooler hoses got burnt due to the heat. The head-gasket, needless to say, warped causing the chocolatey-like engine oil. THe flywheel oil seal got burnt due to the heat too. And a few others things. Most importantly, i had to put in a NEW engine block. Argh. Never thought i would have to do that. Especially since i am VERY "involved" with the blardy car. HAHA.

Oh well, there must a divinely-decreed reason for this.
:)

In anycase, what i wanted to say is that since the engine is now sortof 'new'. My initial assessment is that the engine is NOT performing the same as my previous one. While i feel the compression is tad like of a VIRGIN state (everything's TIGHT, man... HAHAH!) the power delivery is FAIR to say the least. The boosting and all is well-kept at minimum for now, until i have saved enough to warrant another engine change again, before i start playing around with it again.

For those of you who knows, my TEFLON intake gasket was clean and beautiful, just like when i first fitted it in. Even given the overheating, there were NO burnt marks, what more indentation etc, on the gasket. Not THAT's a GOOD investment, guys! No kidding!

When my wife asked why was i using the Honda to work EVERY day, instead of alternating between the H and the V, i just said, "MAJOR HEADCAHE, OVERHEATING, CAR W A-SOON...!" She just replied, "you and your car things..."... and i thank God EVERYDAY after that ...

:D

Photos to follow-up later, but i warn you, it WONT look nice...
:(

Well to be quite honest. I havent started the video, well I have, but. Hmmm, I know I can get through "my favorite country road" much more quickly. Right now its 10 miles in about 7 minutes full og hills and valleys and sharp turns. (I even went off of the road once, put a hole in the oil pan). I am getting new tires soon then I will re shoot it. I am just mounting the camera to my dashboard. Or I might get my lady to film the road and the gauges. How should I film it?

However you decide it, just be sure to put SAFETY first.

You can ask your lady to hold it up, but make sure shes buckled up BEFORE you start driving. You can also mount the camera. No issues.

Infact, since you already have the first video, you dont have to delete that one yet. Use it as a benchmark test.

:)

Cheers, bro.
