My battery died today, so I had a friend try to jump the car... before the attempted jump, I had dash board lights and gauges, and the engine sounded like the battery was just low on voltage. After the attempt, I had no power at all. I checked ALL the fuses and found a couple blown. After I replaced them, I had windows and radio, but no dash lights or gauges. Also, the car will sound like it is going to crank, but it won't actually catch. (This is after it was hooked up to a different set of jumper cables to try to jump it) I'm not sure if there is a fusible link that is blown or something could be wrong with the injectors. PLEASE help! The car is stranded in the parking lot where I work. If it is just a fusible link, I would like to replace it tomorrow. Also, I don't think my car is a turbo as it doesn't have turbo marked anywhere.

Anything you missed out before the eventful day when the battery died out?
Like low on charge, alternator not charging enough etc...

No, the car was seemly working fine before. The battery died because I was sitting in my car at lunch listening to the radio and didn't realize my lights were also on... yes, stupid, I know... :-)

Have a look at the back of the engine on the exhaust where the turbos are located on an 850 Volvo.

If there ain't one there you ain't got one - it's that simple.

OK, please double check the fuses again.

I dont think its the injectors (referring to your original post) so you can rule that out. By NO crank, it usually means the battery is just flat.

Anything else you noticed?
