I'm a new member and hope to get some help with my S80 2000 . I've already replaced the rack and pinion with only 40k miles, and now with 56k miles is lighting uo the emission system. My mechanic hooked it up and says tha the O2 sensors have to be replace, 2 pre and 1 post catalytic. He told me to buy the sensor with the plugs/cables included; I guess it's easy for him to replace them. My question is, should I just get the O2 sensors only (Bosch) or the whole thing, which is approx. double the cost? Does it make any difference in terms of performance?

welcome to the forum. congrats on the S80. where are you getting your sensors from? before you buy them, check out fcpgroton.com most of the members here buy from there and the prices are the best that we have found, consistently. best to buy the whole unit, just for the fact that from the heat the rest of the unit might fail. slim chance, but why push it? good luck.
