emmm i know some of you don't have the trip computers that give you certain range before it runs out. so this really isnt for you

was just intrested in how low you have gone on it before the car stops and dies from no fuel  as i know on mine the orange light comes on at about 50 mile range left.

at mo i have it as low as 22 miles range left and bottled it and put some in :57:

anyone gone for the 0 miles range left and still kept going? (no not the broken ones lol)

I noticed that the trip computer indicating that information is not 100% accurate. For example, on the cumulative MPG function, it tends to overestimate my Fuel economy by approximately 9%. Another thing I noticed is the fact that the fuel gauge tends to read empty even though I have another 5 gallons of fuel in the tank remaining. Also at the same time, the "Range remaining" function indicated that I had about 25 miles left when I still had 5 gallons. Sounds like a recall type issue, no?

think about it, would you want a fuel gauge that read correctly, or one that was off by 2-3%? enough time to get to a fuelling station. now, the real question is, why? why would you want to get to the bottom? you can easily go to a mechanic and have them zero your fuel gauge. then you would know 100% how much fuel was left.

I've run it all the way down until it gives up on me and no longer tells me how much fuiel is left in.

It gets down to 15 miles on mine then after a few miles just says FUEL which I think it's the volvo's way of telling me I'm on my own now.

Still have always made it to a garage though.
