Hi all,
I'm looking into buying a 1998 model Volvo S40 2.0T.
The problem is the Speedo has stopped working (which won't really be a biggy to get fixed) and the ABS warning light is on. I know from other cars I've had in the past that this can generally be any number of minor faults but apparently it had been intermittent but is now permanently on. Does anyone have or has anyone had this problem and recently had it fixed and how much it could i be looking at to get it fixed. I really would like to buy the car but if it has an expensive fault then i might have to pass until i can find another one.
Any help you guy's can give will be very much appreciated.

I would think it's a faulty speed sensor causing the speedo problem, and possible the ABS light too.

+1. more than likely, it's the abs module. they are connected.
