From Vadis

Handle, handbrake lever, replacing

Remove the handle
Lift the handle slightly. Use a sharp knife.
Pry the handle apart so that the lugs are released. The lugs are at the front of the handle.
Remove handle forwards. The knob will also come free.

Install the handle
Press the handle into place until the lugs in the handle lock onto the lever.
Press the knob onto the lever.
Check that it is secure
Check by pulling the handle forward.

Enjoy

yea that is what the picture looks like. I can't figure out how to get it out of Vadis so that I can post it but it just shows cutting the top of the old handle with the knife. Let us know how it turns out.

Old topic, new info:

I went today to Dyer & Dyer (the local Volvo dealership) to get the new cover and was quoted at $110 exact just for the cover. I decided to wait a while and see if I could shop around and find the part cheaper elsewhere. If anybody knows of a place for sure (I checked most of the volvo part web pages) that sells it cheaper let me know, otherwise OEM may win this round....
