Hi everyone,

I currently own a 1983 240 Volvo DL, which was given to me by my parents as my first car and I have since been hoping to get an 1800 that I could work to fix up and call my own.

I have always had an interest in finding a great car to restore and I think the 1800 would be a great one.

I was hoping you guys could help me in telling me what to look for when searching for a good project car and what I should stay away from.

Any input at all would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there, glad you are looking to restore an 1800, I thought mine would take 6 months, ....nearly 5 years later, I have achieved this, and all this and I have not even driven it on the road yet. Not sure where you are located, but I saw a nice looking 1800 for sale on kijiji in Toronto!

Hi There, I am miles away from you in London UK, the car on that link is the estate version, classed as ES not S. This is not as advertised, it should say Volvo 1800ES.

Hey Jimmy, I just took a look at your webpage today sorry it took me so long to get back but the car looks amazing, very good work I'm glad you got her so far.

I am looking to get a 1800ES Sport Wagon and drop a big engine than the original inside.

The only car I have owned is a volvo and I would love to have one of those someday.
