I went to a junk yard and pulled several alarm circuits off of 850's the same year as mine "93" and even a newer one "97" and plugged them in. But I think theres a problem... isnt the horn supposed to go off when you test it? all that happens with them all when I test it is the signals flashing.

Can anyone help with this one?

I would guess either wiring is wrongly matched, or the modules are broken. Unless of course, the alarm does come with silent-alarm (which by the way is a totally useless feature if you ask me. Why the heck would you want to put the alarm purposedly on silent mode? I mean you can alwasy just use the keys etcetcetc...) Sorry for the babble.

After wading through a flood that reached hood-deep for about 3 minutes sometime back, my alarm did the same thing. I am going to send it in to the technician, but i know exactly what he's going to say.

RM300, for new alarm module.
HAHA.
$%$#!

My heart pounded like a dragon, at the time. So nervous if the car suddenly stopped...

In anycase, i hope the guy with the alarm thing is sorted out.

If you're serious about security, you may want to install a new module.

hey i had the same issue wit my alarm, funny, after all the homework and reading the diagrams, i noticed you can plug a front mount horn to the harness holding the small one used for alarm sound. my alarm has full function but audible sound. the horn worked louder than the real one could of. but as always i atempted to purchase a used replacement, i plugged it up and tested it..... i unplugged it and got a replacement primary horn to put back the one i moved. you end up with 3 horns under the hood, but one loud alarm with factory imobilizer. i also added a self start and turbo cooling cycle to my alarm, no key fob, just door handel key function. but suits me, no batteries.
your issue is probly the week output on the alarm horn. try your primary one.
dont worrie, that pesky computer wont notice.
