had my s40 2005 remapped the other day and whilst giving it some stick i found that the brakes were suffering from a lot of fade dont get me wrong i was casing it and she has now got approx 140 ps but i was dissapointed with the performance of the brakes ive got the 16 inch wheel version any ideas of brake upgrades that dont cost hundreds thatll help cheers all

try different pads. i use ebc green and have had great success. good luck.

why not get a set of used rotors from a wrecked s60R or a s80 or even better an xc90. it'll fit and it's a volvo part. just visit a junk yard/breaker. or try vandsautodismantlers.com for a price on their parts. good luck and keep us posted.
