i have read elsewhere and a few mod pages etc.. that by adding the cold start injector as a 5th injector can help boost performance.

i have the bosch k jetronic system in my 740 at the moment, the cold start injector is located on the inlet manifold and injects extra fuel in when it is cold to help start the engine.

looking at the wiring diagram in my haynes it looks possible that i could bypass this with a switch on my dash and physically turn the injector on whilst i am driving.

My question is would this really effect the perfomance in any way and cause any damage to the engine.

obviously i would only use it at WOT which is when the engine is drawing in most air.

Anyone comment about this?
