I am new purchasing volvos and working on them as well. Im looking at two different cars right now and i could use some advice on which one to pursue. I'm not looking for a total project car just yet. Im in college and dont have time/money/place to not have a working car. In the future i would like to mod.

here are the two:

http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/car/648738360.html go to link

91' 240, 4 door, 178k mi, new suspension boge shocks, ipd lowering springs, polyuathane bushings, 2in sports exuashet, remote start (1/4 mi), cd, new 3 core radiator,, all main seals and belts replaced; 17in TWS wheels, and a extra set of stock wheels. Crossed ddrilled roters all the way around and ceramic pads. Nice boston 6x9s in the back and pioneer 5 1/2 in the front. I did all this work to this car and I really love it I just can't afford to pay insurence on two vechicles, in the last year I've but over 6000, into it but i go over the pass to much and this car isn't good for the snow, $3500

Are these cars to expensive for what im getting?

The asking price on the 1983 Turbo is silly money. The 1991 is a little high, but if the body is perfect, everything works and all the mods were done properly it might be a good purchase.

it's the roughly part that gets me about the mileage. it's either 128,xxx or it's not. there is no roughly. as for the price, how rare is rare? if it's the only one known to exist on the whole western seaboard, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell. if it's as rare as a T5-R, then it's pricey. the other one, offer them a low ball, try 2700.00 have a carfax done on it. if it all checks out, hey good price, since they have done everything that you would have needed to do anyway. good luck. keep us posted.
