Car: 1999 S80 T6

The cable for the hood release broke and I cannot open the hood. This is somewhat urgent because the car is overdue for an oil change and some other maintenance, plus fixing the cable. Does anyone know of a way to get the hood open? I am very comfortable with mechanics, if that helps any, I have just never worked on a Volvo.

Hope This Helps:

Bonnet, emergency opening

Opening the bonnet externally
Remove the wind deflector.
Make up a stable hook.
Insert it beside the radiator.
Hint: There may be a cover / panel in the car (certain engine types).
There is an integrally weakened section in the cover / panel which allows the tool to be inserted.
Hook on to the lock arm and pull downwards

This is all done from underneath the carm ideally using a ramp or at least a jack,
